Live audio engineer for the Keith Jarrett Trio featuring Jack DeJohnette and Gary Peacock in coordinance with the San Francisco Jazz Festival & Cal Performances.   I had the pleasure of using the in-house Meyer Sound M2D Curvilinear line array and Soundcraft console for the sold-out attendance of 2,100 people.

Production Assistant/Touring Coordinator/FOH Audio Engineer, 2004-present
Songline / Tone Field Productions is the production office of music producer Lee Townsend and the management office for guitarist Bill Frisell . Live Sound Engineer/Tour Manager for Bill Frisell at the Leipzig Jazz Festival in Leipzig, Germany in October 2008. Tour Manager for Bill Frisell and his Unspeakable Orchestra tour in November of 2006. Producer for Bill Frisell's Live Download Series which includes the selection of live performances to be released, audio editing and pseudo-mastering with Pro Tools along with other audio software, administering DPD machanical licenses and the accounting for all sales and expenses. Director of on-line product management for website sales. Familiar with web tools, Macitosh trouble-shooting, ftp transfers and website html updates. Touring coordinator for all of Bill Frisell's North America performances.

Audio engineer for live performances of " Grace " at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.   Experience with juggling multiple channels of wireless microphones head-worn by dancers, following scripts for audio cues, audio editing and sound design utilizing Digital Performer for synchronization with time sensitive live dance performances. Also worked very close with the Production Manager and Musical Director for coordinating show production.

Utilizing their Yamaha M7CL console at front-of-house and the Midas XL3 for monitors.   Familiar with the digital platform, Lake processors and software.   Accountable as Production Director for all bands and techs to keep sound check and show schedule on-time. Ringing and tuning monitors, trouble-shooting, quick turnovers for numerous acts per night.   Working with multiple production staff discussing and implementing quality production for artists including John Meyer, Emmylou Harris, Living Colour, Les Claypool, Peter Rowan, Kasey Chambers, The Matches, Willy Porter and many others.

Familiar with the Soundcraft Vi-4 digital 48 channel console in this quiet sit-down listening atmosphere for the best folk music in the bay area.   Variety of micing techniques including the use of a single large diphram mic for bluegrass ensembles, responsible for stage production, audio engineering, lighting, hospitality and director of time management.   Independent leadership working with such artists as Dar Williams, Solas, Don Byron, Turtle Island String Quartet, Kelly Joe Phelps, Utah Philips, Tin Hat Trio, Bruce Cockburn, Ramblin' Jack Eliott, Chris Smithers, Matt Nathanson, Kaki King and many others.

 

Three Hits and a Miss, Minneapolis, Minnesota:

Live sound engineer for a thirty-nine show tour with this four-part vocal group backed with bass, drums and piano.   Director of audio, technical and stage production.   Technical liaison between theaters and touring group.   Instructed stagehands and house managers with lighting specifics and show schedule.   Always a professional environment and accountable for multiple deadlines per night. Traveled with our own audio equipment for audiences upto 1,600 people.

 

Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, California:

Audio Engineering for the third largest cathedral in the United States.   Director of audio for concerts, forums, organ concerts and Sunday services.   Managed multiple channels of Countryman wireless microphones, recorded program material, followed scripts for riding vocal mic channels throughout services which were also broadcast live via an internet stream.   Digital two-track recording for concerts using Digital Performer and a Powerbook.

Front-of-house audio engineering for private events, eighteen piece swing bands, DJ's, VH1 Pop/Rock Contest, and 2001 World Lindy-Hop video with Beardance Productions.   Responsible for stage production with multiple bands, special events, wedding receptions, and comedians.
